Setting up your electricity and gas in France
You're moving to France? Welcome! Here is a quick guide on how to set up your Electricity and Gas services into your new home.
Start the electricity and gas services as soon as possible
As soon as you get the keys to your new home, we recommend you take care of subscribing a contract for your energy supply.
If the electricity and/or gas supply have been cut, you might have to wait up to 5 business days (sometimes more when a lot of people move in, in September) to get your supply activated. Even if the electricity / gas supply is working when you enter your new home, note that ENEDIS and GRDF can cut the supply without notice at any moment until you have subscribed a contract.
